21-10 There are 4 seasons….

The school year has begun and Summer is a faint memory, well actually not that faint considering the weather here. Even so, the passing of the seasons is a fact and our five- year- olds have had the chance to learn some new vocabulary related to each taking advantage of the arrival of Autumn. The passing of time is a difficult concept to grasp at such young ages, so it is important to help them with this task, incorporating it into our daily routines in the classroom: the passing of the days of the week, the months and also the seasons. The children have incorporated this new vocabulary through games, their picture dictionary, and various songs.
